Yes Planned Parenthood does perform abortions but they only account for about 3% of what PP does. The reason you can’t be pro-life and against PP is because the easiest way to prevent an abortion is easy access to contraceptives. PP provides low cost birth control and free condoms. Prevention is the key, not abstinence.
I’m tired of seeing people say “if you didn’t want to get pregnant, don’t open your legs.” Abstinence only sex ed does not work. People are going to have sex, plain and simple. It’s a basic human urge. Telling people not to have sex is pointless. The best way to prevent an abortion is contraceptives and PP makes them easily available.
I am aware that there are other places to obtain birth control. Planned Parenthood however is a lot easier than going to a family doctor for the pill and sometime people just can’t afford condoms. Contraception isn’t cheap these days and that’s why we need PP. People need access to contraceptives.
